It will be useful to dispatch for a number of reasons. If we have the ability to add messages to entire groups that could be attached to scheduling, we can notify personnel of expectations outside of normal duties at the beginning of a shift. It is also helpful from a payroll standpoint with reminders over the weekends for example, to approve timecards, or make necessary timecard adjustments. Messages sent to vehicle tablets do not reach all employees. There should be a maximum of 100 characters that could be bulk applied to all outgoing schedule emails and texts.
