Navigation for Deadhead to Plant

Drivers that deadhead to other plants would like a way to find the plant they are driving to through the app rather than navigate to Google maps outside of Trackit where they would have to type in the plant address.

Sounds like you and Keian are both on board with the same solution idea. I can definitely see the value. I'm also wondering how we can incorporate this with the dispatch system.

We can currently force a driver into deadhead status when a dispatcher moves the vehicle from one plant to another from within command. but i think we should enhance this functionality to also navigate the driver to that plant.

This would be a very helpful Option. My thoughts are to create another "Status" option like "Destination" or "Switch or Change Plant" with a sub-menu that would populate with the Plant Addresses or Plant Numbers that the Driver could select from. Once the dead-head plant is selected a Map Card would auto-populate that the driver could "tap" or double-tap on, giving them turn by turn directions. Similar to when a Driver is ticketed with a valid job address and corresponding Map Card.

A list with plant number and plant name paired that can be searched or filtered with "contains" perameters would be nice. Looking forward to your thoughts.

So we could either allow the driver to select a plant from a list and then tap Navigate.  Or we could make it even more automated.  I will have to think about this more.  I like the idea.

For anyone who reads this, please offer up more ideas as to how you think this should work.
