As an example: A truck in Begin Pour that triggers device movement would status End Pour/Wash. Obviously, this feature could be used for other scenarios.
Steven, completely agree we have the same issue outside of the geofence. I believe and request that this should be an optional status change configuration.
Keian, in our business, the drivers sometimes have to leave a certain geo-fence or temporary hot-spot to finish pouring our their load of concrete at another address in the same neighborhood. I think it's better if the Driver manually changes their status to "End Pour", but like you we have a few forgetful drivers. We have had to retrain the problem drivers that can't seem remember to manually change their status. I know, it can be frustrating at times with forgetful drivers!
Ok. I think I get it now. In this use case they would only go to Wash status or End Pour status once the vehicle starts moving. So the one tricky part would be the logic to determine how much movement needs to occur to trigger the status change. We wouldn't want it too rigid or too loose. We would need to find that "sweet spot" that triggers it at the right time.
We have a status restriction that doesn't allow to plant from begin pour.
Geofences are working fine. We just have problems with drivers remembering
to press was when they are done.
So if I understand correctly, the vehicle is in "Begin Pour" status, but it starts to drive really fast, they obviously are no longer pouring. So then it would automatically change to "Returning" or "End Pour" or whatever status is designated. Correct?
Is there no Geofence for the jobsite? Or is this because the jobsite geofences aren't getting created properly? Or even sometimes the driver is asked to pour just outside of the job site geofence so the auto statusing doesn't trigger?

This is an interesting idea.
